The EURECA-PRO Student Council is a dynamic platform for students to voice their ideas, drive positive change, and shape the future of the alliance. As representatives of the diverse EURECA-PRO community, we foster collaboration, advocate for student interests, and create opportunities for growth and engagement across universities.
The student council plays a crucial role in shaping the direction of EURECA-PRO, ensuring that student perspectives contribute to research, innovation, and educational initiatives focused on sustainability. The council comprises student representatives from all nine partner universities. Our representatives actively participate in international conferences, advocate for student engagement, and present student perspectives at networking events both within the alliance and in collaboration with other student groups.

Activities of the Student Council
The EURECA-PRO Student Council engages in several key activities to enhance student involvement and representation across its partner institutions:
Leadership and Strategic Planning: The council elects leaders, such as the chair and vice-chair, who develop strategic objectives to foster collective growth, increase student engagement, establish alumni networks, and enhance inter-alliance collaboration.
Participation in European Conferences: Council members represent EURECA-PRO at European forums, such as the European Student Assembly and the Conference for Student Representatives in European University Alliances, to discuss and shape the future of higher education collaboration across borders.
Contribution to Alliance Development: The council actively participates in alliance events, such as kick-off meetings and international weeks, providing student perspectives on topics like digitalization, curriculum development, and sustainability initiatives.
Organisation of Student-Centric Events: The council organises workshops, lectures, and cultural activities to promote responsible consumption and production, enhance student skills, and foster community building among students from partner universities.
Promotion of Sustainability Practices: The council leads by example in promoting sustainability, ensuring that events adhere to principles like serving locally produced vegetarian and vegan dishes and minimizing waste. Through these activities, the EURECA-PRO Student Council ensures that student voices are integral to the alliance’s mission of responsible consumption and production.
