Objectives:

  • familiarization with modern content in chemistry in the context of responsible and sustainable production and management of natural resources
  • familiarization with and practice of modern teaching methods tailored to the changing society, the young generation and new challenges of responsible and sustainable production and management of natural resources
  • opening a dialogue between academic teachers and secondary school teachers in the context of needs, changes and adaptation to new challenges of responsible and sustainable production and management of natural resources
Competencies and learning outcomes

Competences:

  • Ability to name, classify and describe the structure of substances used in responsible and sustainable production.
  • Knowledge and ability to identify, recognize and predict mechanisms at the molecular level in the field of responsible and sustainable production.

Learning outcomes:

  • Preparation for introducing new mechanisms of responsible and sustainable production.
  • Preparation for teaching and popularizing mechanisms and methods of responsible and sustainable production.
  • Increased motivation for further lifelong learning.

  • Stereochemistry (chirality, configuration) in sustainable production
  • Nomenclature of organic compounds
  • Electrochemistry in sustainable production
  • Kinetics of chemical reactions for better understanding of natural processes
  • Nomenclature of inorganic compounds
  • Coordination compounds in nature and in sustainable production
  • Mechanisms of organic reactions for better understanding of natural processes and sustainable production
