@ Mittweida University of Applied Sciences
On the 9th of April 2024, Mittweida University of Applied Sciences honoured achievements in promoting equality in research, teaching and within the university community by awarding the Ingrid-von-Reyher-Award.
Among the recognized researchers this year was EURECA-PRO’s Dr.-Ing. Flaviana Tagliaferri. She is being recognized for her special commitment to promoting equal opportunities for all genders, especially through her role model function for students, in particular female STEM students. She teaches the course “Industry 4.0 – Responsible Consumption and Production (RCP)” for students of the EURECA-PRO study programme RCP, a specialization within the Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Automation.
Dr. Ingrid von Reyher was the first woman to teach at the former engineering school in Mittweida in 1947. In recognition, Mittweida University of Applied Sciences has been awarding the Ingrid-von-Reyher-Award yearly since 2012. The focus of this year’s nomination was on young academics who are active in research and teaching, and who are involved in promoting equal opportunities for all genders in the university community, e.g. by working within committees, commissions and project groups.
