STEM Innovation Contest Finale

The first ever finale of the EURECA-PRO STEM Innovation Contest will be held on the 14^th of July 2022 at Mittweida University of Applied Sciences. Guests from all partner universities will come to Mittweida and watch the three best student teams compete against each other. The event will also be broadcast online.

EURECA-PRO is keenly aware of the importance of raising visibility for STEM (‘Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics’) knowledge areas, encouraging student interest in these subjects and especially promoting the role of women in these fields. To achieve these goals the ‘STEM Innovation Contest‘ was established. STEM-related industry partners from all over Europe offered real-world challenges that students of the eight partner universities worked on in teams. The contest thus promotes invention and problem-solving abilities through collaborative work among students with the support of multidisciplinary STEM-researchers acting as mentors.

After months of work, the three best teams from the partner universities will present their solutions in Mittweida, Germany on the 14^th of July to an international jury of researchers and experts.
